Judiciary appointments

The live interviews of Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justice and Director of Public Prosecutions was quiet historical in Kenya. Consequently the choices of Dr. Willy Mutunga an activist for CJ, Nancy Barasa for Deputy CJ and Keriako Tobiko as DPP was a great relief from the common names and friends of top politicians as is the norm in Kenya. The tribal choices and balance was also a good move after the war between PNU (Presidents party) and ODM (Prime Ministers party) over -the previous nominations.

This is the way forward for reforms in Kenya; let those opposed to the appointments stops taking us back because we want to move on, even the President and the Prime Minister approved the appointments “Who do they think they are?” This is the trend set, therefore all major Government jobs should be advertised and go through the same process.
